LGH10029L is a Cylinder Head Inlet Valve fitted to the cylinder head of the 1.8L K Series petrol engine used in Freelander 1 (L314) models. It controls admission of the air-fuel charge by opening on the intake stroke and then seating against the cylinder head to form a gas-tight seal for compression and combustion. Correct valve face condition and seating affect mixture flow, compression pressure and combustion quality; worn, bent or poorly sealing inlet valves can cause reduced performance, misfire or elevated emissions. When replacing this valve, check the associated valve seats and guides for wear and confirm valve clearances to the manufacturer's specification for the 1.8L K Series application.
